Ann graduated from the University of Birmingham with an LLB(Hons)degree and then subsequently qualified as a solicitor in London.  After moving to Liverpool on marriage, she was employed by a small city centre firm, (which has since metamorphosed into Gregory Abrams Davidson ) also working at its branch offices in Garston and Walton.  She specialised in Legal Aid family work.  After a break from practice whilst having her two children (both of whom now also have LLB degrees from Birmingham!) she opened up as a sole practitioner, with an office in Rodney Street, again specialising in matrimonial work, but in fact dealing with a wide variety of matters, including conveyancing and probate.

In 1994, Ann chose to return to the academic side of law, obtaining an LLM from the University of Liverpool and then staying on as a member of staff, where she taught Public Law, English Legal System & Skills and Equity &Trusts.  She has also taught EU law at the University of Lancaster and both EU and Land Law at the College of Law in Chester to non- law graduates.

Although still on the Roll of Solicitors, Ann is currently fully committed to the educational needs of aspiring lawyers at all levels and is enjoying her involvment with ILEX.

Ann will continue to teach our new students on the Introduction to Law and Practice unit.
