Charles attended Liverpool University and graduated in 1983 with an LLB Honours Law degree. From here he then proceeded to Chrysleton College of Law in Chester where he completed his Solicitors final examination, before joining Silverbeck & Co in 1984. On qualifying in 1986 he took up a position as an Assistant Solicitor with the firm and became a Partner in 1989.
Charles's main area of specialisation involves all aspects of litigation, Contract and Consumer law. He has also handled in the early years of his professional life conveyancing, Probate and Family law matters.
Since 2001 Charles has taught on the Ilex Legal Executive course. In 2004 he returned to The University of Central Lancashire and obtained a PGCE teaching qualification and has now completed a Masters Degree in Education.
Charles returned to the Law Academy in September 2009 to continue to deliver Level 6 Family Law and level 3 Contract Law. We are delighted this will continue into the '10-11 academic year.
Charles's philosophy to studying at any academic level is very simple, in that he believes with the right focus, determination, preparation and commitment any success can be achieved by anyone.
Charles is a devout Evertonian, who follows the team both home and away and in Europe!
