FAQ's
I start my course this month, what do I need to do?
First year level 3 students are studying Intro to Law and Practice (Unit 1), Legal Research Skills (unit 17) and Tort (unit 5) in the first term. Manuals are available for units 1 and 5 (Not 17) from the Ilex Tutorial College online shop.
Second year level 3 students are studying Contract and Criminal law in the first term. Manuals again are available from ITC.
All lessons begin w/c 20th September. You should be aware of the days you are doing but can also check the timetable tab of this website.
First year students will get an induction session on the first lesson regarding payments to ILEX for annual membership etc. You do not need to do this before your classes begin.
Second year students are paid up to January and will have to re-new their membership then.

Can I still enrol for a course in September?
We are still taking enrolments now. You can arrange an appointment for more information on the courses, including course tuition fees and timetable, with one of our directors by emailing Helen Miller. Please note some classes at both level 3 and 6 are now fully subscribed and we are holding reserve lists for these. Please register your interest now.
What are the payments to ILEX?
Depending on your previous work experience and qualifications the annual membership payable to ILEX ranges from £50 - £220 currently. New members also pay a one off £35 registration fee.
Manuals: There are 5 manuals in total you may choose to purchase for Level 3 year one. These are £21 each available from ITC. There are 5 unit exam/course work submission fee of £40 per unit. Level 6 manuals are approx £31 and exams are £75 . Single subject Level 6 units may be exempt from membership payments although may have to pay an admin fee to ILEX.
Can I pay for my tuition fees by instalments?
We will work with you on an individual basis regarding instalments and suggest you contact us to make an appointment to discuss this.
Is there funding available for the courses?
As a private training company we receive no individual government funding at present. If you wish to discuss funding, please contact Sue Doyle or Kelly Jones.
How do I know what day and time my course will be?
The timetable is available on our website under the timetable tab for September 2010. This will be subject to student intake.
When do the courses begin?
The next classes will begin in September 2010. New first year classes will have an induction class during week commencing 20th September, all other classes begin this week also with the exception of L6 Conveyancing.
