How can we help?
The launch of the new suite of CILEX Professional Qualification (CPQ) can be daunting to understand. We are happy to help you understand your options for training your employees.
We endeavour to assist you in selecting the right qualifications for your employees at every level, whether they are entry level or experienced and looking to cement their skills through recognised qualifications.
The Law Academy is a very hands on, supportive training provider and we welcome a close relationship with all our students and their employers.
We provide an internal microsite to all current students where we host links to our employers’ vacancy / career pages to enable people looking for work to access lots of firms in one place. This is a free service for employers we build close relationships with.
If you have employees at entry level, you may feel the Certificate in Legal Practice are a good starting point for them. This is a 12 month course specialising in one of 3 areas of legal practice and a great way for the employee to learn more about the legal system, vital professional skills and their chosen area of practice.
Alternatively, the CPQ Foundation stage may be more suitable. This covers 5 compulsory examinable modules of Legal systems, Professional skills, Tort, Contract and Introduction to Property and Private client. Successful completion of the Foundation stage (including an ethics test and professional work experience portfolio) leads to the title of CILEX Paralegal. This stage takes approximately 18 months to complete.
This may be where you are comfortable for your employee to reach. They can however continue to the Advanced stage to gain the title of Advanced CILEX Paralegal. This would take approximately 18 months.
The Professional Stage is for those wanting to fully qualify as a CILEX Lawyer.
You may employ Law Graduates and want to know what options are available for them. The CPQ has the CGQ Graduate Qualification. This allows Law Graduates to join at the Advanced stage and complete a suite of units including their specialist area.
If you would like to discuss the various routes available, get in touch via our Employer Enquiry Form and we’ll do our best to help.
