We are an approved provider for the CILEX Professional Qualification (CPQ).  This is an exciting time for The Law Academy and CILEX as the new qualification is now underway. 

The CPQ is a competency based qualification framework. It has 3 stages of progression. Each stage leads to a recognised title of CILEX Paralegal, Advanced CILEX Paralegal and CILEX Lawyer.

The Foundation stage comprises of 5 compulsory modules of study, together with the Ethics and professional responsibility e-learning course. 

All our online courses are evenings to enable you to study around your work commitments. 

Once this stage is completed, trainees can opt to continue to the Advanced stage of the CPQ. This involves 2 compulsory law and practice units, 2 professional skills units, 1 elective law and practice unit and the advanced ethics tests. 

Again, trainees may then decide this is the position they wish to remain at however, they may wish to progress to the final stage – the Professional stage to qualify as a CILEX Lawyer.

Together with completion of the academic and ethics elements of the stages, trainees working in a legal environment can provide evidence of their professional experience to CILEX. This would enable them to progress to the next level of CILEX membership too.
